How to keep your wrap looking savage (and keep your warranty valid)

Congratulations on your new Decalwolf graphics! To ensure your vinyl stays as sharp as the day it was installed and to maintain your 2-Year Limited Warranty, follow these professional care instructions.

🚿 Rule #1: The Monthly Wash (Mandatory)

Per your warranty agreement, you must wash your vehicle at least once every 30 days. Contaminants like bird droppings, bug splatter, and tree sap contain acids that can permanently eat into the vinyl if left in the sun.

🧼 Rule #2: Use "Vinyl-Safe" Soap

Not all soaps are created equal. You must use a pH-neutral car shampoo with no harsh degreasers or abrasive chemicals.

Recommended "Safe" Brands:

  • Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash

  • Chemical Guys Mr. Pink or Meticulous Matte (for matte wraps)

  • Adam’s Polishes Car Wash Shampoo

  • Griot’s Garage Brilliant Finish Snow Foam

⚠️ AVOID: Dish soap (too harsh), "Wash & Wax" soaps with petroleum distillates, and automatic car washes with spinning brushes.

🧽 How to Wash Like a Pro

  1. Rinse First: Use a gentle stream of water to remove loose grit.

  2. Hand Wash Only: Use a clean, soft microfiber mitt. Start from the top and work your way down.

  3. Be Gentle on Edges: Never scrub or pick at the edges of the vinyl. This is the #1 cause of lifting.

  4. Dry Immediately: Use a clean microfiber drying towel to prevent water spots.

🚫 The "Don't" List (Warranty Killers)

  • NO Pressure Washers: If you must use one, stay at least 12-18 inches away from the surface and never aim it directly at an edge.

  • NO Scraping: Never use ice scrapers or abrasive pads on the vinyl.

  • NO Peeling: If you see a lifted edge, do not touch it. Contact us immediately. Manually peeling or "testing" the adhesive will void your warranty.
